Alfred Kreutz
while this does not establish his death date, publications edited by him seem to have (according to Worldcat and - I'm not quite sure - other sources?) been released as late as 1954 (Mussorgsky Pictures) and 1960 (JS Bach WTC.) The Mussorgsky seems not to have had earlier release, the Bach - not sure. Eric 01:28, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
- In any case, Kreutz's contribution here appears to be of an urtext nature. As I was explaining to Ralph on my talk page, I strongly suspect that the 1937 claim was added when the title was reprinted by the Frankfurt concern after WW II. Peters is the absolute worst of any publisher at attempting copyfraud in cases of this type. They issued lots of items before WW II without a notice - the Mozart operas of Don Giovanni and Le nozze di Figaro which have been reprinted by Dover being 2 superb examples - what had notices added when reprinted after the war.
