Confused

The piano score has what certainly seems a valid copyright notice, it seems, on page 3. Why is this PD-US? No renewal but that copyright shouldn't even have expired yet or should it? Eric 20:47, 6 December 2010 (UTC)

Since it's before 1964, renewal was not automatic and publishers were still required to apply for it after 28 years. Therefore, the US copyright on this score expired in 1980. Cheers, KGill talk email 20:56, 6 December 2010 (UTC)

Ok, I have to put that together with what I thought I knew about copyright and go get -really- confused - not your fault. Why did several family members of mine have to become lawyers? Otherwise I could just blame it on all of them :) Eric 20:59, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
