Talk:Eclogue (Voříšek, Jan Václav)

There is a repeat in the first page.

In this score, the right margin of the first page has just very slightly been cut off, which led me to wonder whether there was a repeat at the end of the last line on that page, indicating that the entire page of music should be repeated. If there is a repeat sign there, it would be in the sliver of the page that has been cut off.

Looking closer, I can see just the very slight trace of the two dots that would belong to such a repeat sign at the bottom of the page - you have to look closely, in blown-up mode, to see this. Since I have not printed this out, I don't know how noticeable it would be printed out.

I just thought I would point this out in case anyone was wondering. So, when playing this piece, repeat the first page. M.J.E. 07:42, 11 December 2009 (UTC)

Hello,
sorry for the missing right margin, this piece was scanned from a photocopy. I try to get a better one for the 1st page. Hobbypianist 16:52, 29 December 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for that.
By the way, I hope my comments weren't taking as complaining. Whenever I have found flaws such as missing pages, unreadable parts of pages, missing margins, and so on in scores, I have pointed these out in discussion sections. I have probably done this with dozens of different pieces. My intention is not simply to complain (which might be churlish to do about something which is being given to the site free), but simply to draw the problems to the attention of anyone (the original poster or anyone else) who may be able to correct them. I am here assuming that everyone who posts scores wants them to be as good-quality as possible, and that anyone who might be able to rectify problems would be glad to be informed of them. By no means I consider the comments bad. I'm glad to get a feedback and have read several of your remarks. It is indeed also my objective to have good scans here suitable for a printout. Regards, Hobbypianist 16:26, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
