What, no alto flute? How can it be a "very large orchestra" without at least one or two alto flutes? Even Stravinsky's "Rite of Spring" included an alto - although it beats me how it can be heard over all that din. Signed - Very Biased Alto Flute Player. Aldona 03:40, 13 December 2010 (UTC)
- I suppose we could take Flute 3 or Flute 4 and redesignate them Alto Flute 1 and Alto Flute 2. But that's not a problem I foresee needing to tackle any time soon, if ever. I think the Vuvuzela Concerto has a much better chance of ever being played. Picardy Third 19:33, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
