Talk:Morceau de concours (Debussy, Claude)

Typo

There's a typo in the original score (at least I'm virtually certain it's a typo). Measure five, lower staff, the second chord should have a D rather than a D flat. Goldberg988's typset score has fixed the error. I'd put this info somewhere on the page but I'm not sure about where I'd put it, exactly. Can someone help me out? :) — flamingspinach | (talk) 14:30, 6 July 2008 (EDT)

Can't help you with how to put the information in the right place; but I just thought I'd point out that the following bar (6) is exactly analogous, apart from being transposed to a new key, so it greatly strengthens the supposition that the D-flat in bar 5 is a misprint. (And it results not from a wrongly-placed flat sign, but an omitted natural sign - a very easy mistake to make.) M.J.E. 06:26, 8 January 2010 (UTC)

108 from 1904, not 105 from 1905.

The Morceau de Concours has Lesure catalog number 108; L. 105 is Masques. (It is also, I gather, from 1904, not 1905, e.g. if this link - www.uquebec.ca/musique/catal/debussy/debccat.htm - is accurate. (Its full title is Pièce pour piano écrite pour un concours de la revue Musica.) Eric 19:24, 5 August 2008 (EDT)
