Talk:Symphony No.1, Op.16 (Bischoff, Hermann)

Final pages missing.

This certainly looks a very interesting symphony. I guess I'll probably never get to hear it, though.

Just thought I'd point out that the final pages of the score are missing, in case it can be fixed any time. Thanks. M.J.E. 11:45, 1 October 2010 (UTC)

I try to get the missing pages.
It's indeed a nice symphony in late-romantic style, 2nd is very beautiful, too. CDs of both Symphonies are available from label CPO (Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz, conducted by Werner Andreas Albert). Hobbypianist 12:19, 1 October 2010 (UTC)
The final pages are missing- oh. maybe my fault for selecting the wrong range of pages when I asked for the PDF online- unless their copy is missing those final pages too, but I don't recall this being the case; I'll check. If so I goofed badly but can always try again and replace the PDF soon. Sorry!!! The Amazon.com links btw- which are so often hit or miss in their actual relevance - actually do point to recordings of this work and the 2nd symphony on cpo. The Bischoff en-Wikipedia article (which I had somewhat to do with and which is very, very improvable...) does contain some useful information also. Eric
Ok, uploading new file now, attempting to fix. Eric 12:57, 1 October 2010 (UTC)
All seems to be well. I'm considering also uploading the 4 movements (that is, selecting the movement ranges of the score and saving them separately as files, and uploading them- I don't have the separate movements as files to begin with) at a later date- that might be good for people with moderate but not fast connections...
