Hey everyone so I noticed that thoughout the piece there are the markings such as "3za" and "4ta" both followed by a C. What is their significance?
This is very simple. It means: "Do not play on the string you normally would play on. Instead of string (C=corda=string) no.4, play on no.3 (3za=terza=no.3). Later, you go back to the normal string, i.e. no.4 (4ta=quarta=no.4)."
