The Valen Society Edition is a series of special editions of selected works by Fartein Valen, which were distributed to members and patrons of the Society. All entries in the series are reprints (or sometimes contemporary prints) of publications by Harald Lyche & Co. As such; the entries are nearly identical to their counterparts in the standard Lyche-edition, including their plate numbers and copyright notices.
In addition to the entry number on the front, each of the copies are also individually numbered, and carry signatures of the Valen Society’s Chairman and Honorary Secretary on the inside of the cover page.
The edition contains 18 known entries. Considering currently available sources, it is not known with certainty whether any additional entries were printed or planned.
