This “urtext” or “scholarly” (scientific) edition was published at least 25 years ago in Germany and thus is public domain in its country of origin. Such editions are also public domain in Canada because they fail to meet the minimum ‘threshold of originality’ to qualify for copyright as an ‘adaptation’. It may not be public domain elsewhere, however. More information about this can be found here.

Publisher. Info. Franz Schubert's Werke, Serie 19, No.27
Leipzig: Breitkopf & Härtel, 1884-1897. Plate F.S. ?.
Reprinted New York: Kalmus, No.1067, n.d.
Misc. Notes Breitkopf & Härtel published two versions of the piece, but this is erroneous. The work, as listed in Deutsch, is in two parts ("Kanon in zwei Teilen"), not two versions. The first part ("A") is in A major while the 2nd part ("B") is in F-sharp minor. From a structural standpoint, the work is in ternary form ("ABA"), as shown in the Neue Schubert-Ausgabe score.
