Hofmeister lists a set of 3 album leaves published in or by 1853 (that is, received by HMB in 1853- it isn't unknown for the date to be a year off or so), a Canzonetta, capriccio and scherzo (see HMB 1853, page 302). Seems possible anyway that Sylphiden was originally called Capriccio. However, Gade did also publish something (a work? set of works?) "Sylphiden. (Album No. 11.)" from the same publisher (Lose u. Delblanco) in 1850 (HMB 1850, page 133).
