Misc. Comments
This work was left incomplete at Tchaikovsky's death. While originally intended as the second and third movements of his Piano Concerto No.3, the composer extracted the first movement as a separate work. Taneyev reconstructed the remaining two movements from the composer's sketches and published both the full score and reduction for two pianos in 1897 with M.P. Belaieff.
