||Pieces from the Bauyn Manuscript
||The manuscript is divided into three sections, bound in two volumes
- Vol.1 contains music by Chambonnières [f.1-69], as well as music by various composers [f.33-62].
- Vol.2 contains music by Louis Couperin [f.1-75], and music by various composers [f.1-32], the continuation of which is at the end of Volume 1.
According to Grove Music, this manuscript was "copied by an unknown hand not before 1676, containing 122 pieces for harpsichord, four for organ and five for ensemble". Until a complete contents list is compiled, it is unknown what instrumentations the 5 ensemble pieces are for, so this page includes an "undetermined instrumentation" tag until that can be sorted out.
