Misc. Comments

  • Grove Music does not list this work, but the Dutch Wikipedia article on Phalèse lists it as containing 3- 4- and 5-voice songs accompanied by lyre or lute.
  • The subtitle for book 1 is "duarum, trium, et quatuor partium" and the subtitle for book 2 is "trium, quatuor, et cuinque partium".
  • There are no words printed, but the song titles are in French. Presumably the songs were sufficiently well-known.
