Nita Cox (fl. 1900-1937)
- Detailed biography: None given
- Many translations for Durand between 1900 and 1910
- Requested copyright for a Debussy translation on May 19th, 1937, living Broadstairs/Kent
- this was probably a renewal of her ca.1911 (Durand) translation of René-Bâton's Lune de cuivre (Op.14 No.3)? Well, so long as the source (LoC?) is clear that she herself requested it, sure :) - ES (yes, the relevant request on p.237 of the 1937 LoC catalog is clear enough that she's still alive and making her own request, as author of the English text of Debussy's l'Enfant prodigue.) A renewal of Debussy's Trois Ballades in the 1939 Catalog that has her English translation does not involve her involvement in the renewal process- but just awards the copyright to Jean Deyzac, Paris. Don't know if this implies that Cox might be deceased ca.1939...
