- Born in Weitra, lower Austria. He was engaged as a violinist in the Polish Kapelle in Dresden in 1723 at the age of 36, according to documents from the Dresden Royal Court. He served there until his death in 1743. He is also mentioned on the title page of Liber III of Zelenka's Collectaneorum Musicorum which places him in Vienna in the year 1717.
