Alfred Wotquenne (25 January 1867 — 25 September 1939)
- Detailed biography: Wikipedia
- Recordings: None given
- Librarian, Brussels Cons. (Conservatoire royal de musique de Bruxelles.), 1894–1918.
- Prepared studies, thematic catalogues and editions of, among others, C.P.E. Bach, Gluck, Galuppi. Also helped prepare a "Catalogue de la bibliothèque du Conservatoire royal de musique de Bruxelles : dressé par ordre de matières, chronologique et critique" (reissued in 1980). His "W." catalog for CPE Bach's works seems to have been largely superceded by Helm's more recent one but is still often used (until recently we used both in Emanuel Bach workpage titles, recently switching to H. numbers alone except presumably in such cases, if any, where a W. but not a H. catalog entry exists for a work. (A Google digitization of his Gluck Werkverzeichnis can be found at Internet Archive starting e.g. here - Catalogue thématique des œuvres de Chr. W. v. Glück.))
