The name should be: Händel, Georg Friedrich.
- Hello. On IMSLP we try to follow the international standards for composers' names as given in the Library of Congress authorities catalog . They use "George Frideric Handel", citing the New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians: "He was baptized Georg Friederich Händel, the usual spelling of his name in Germany then and now. He used the spelling Hendel in Italy and at first in England, but later always signed himself Handel without the Umlaut; in England he generally used the forms of his first names shown above [i.e. George Frideric]"). Hope this helps — P.davydov 15:54, 20 February 2009 (EST)
