History

Ernst Berens was a short-lived publishing venture in Hamburg, Germany, which lasted from 1862 to 1876. Berens' daughter, Else Berens, was married to the composer Ferdinand Thieriot (1838—1919). Ernst Beren's publishing house published several of Thieriot's works. It was connected with A. Berens of Lubeck (1879-1892).
