Misc. Comments
op26 acc. to HMB. (Hofmeister's Monatsbericht (1868), p.149. Which makes it the work of a 15-year-old? ) (the same 1868 issue also sees opp. 27 - Revue à Prague, 28 - Rêve à Mer, and 31 - Scherzo-caprice listed.)
Op.26 also attaches, according to HMB, to Un bal en rêve, fantaisie-caprice (see Hofmeister's Monatsbericht (1869), p.120 (also Fürstner). Hrm. Here we have Op.29 - Le ruisseau and op.30 - Mazurka de salon.)
On the first page of music of the Heugel et Cie first edition the work is identified as Op.25 (no opus listed on the title page).
