"Jensen dedicated the songbook "To His Beloved Bride," and it is palpable that there is a touch of that happy rapture that comes to the human heart only once in a lifetime. The wonderful verse of Da ich dich einmal gefunden (Once I Found You) from Rückert's "Liebes-Frühling" deserves to be first, especially as the music also perfectly meets the mood of exuberant sensation which the poet strikes. Of the other songs of this handsome songbook, there are No. 5 Bei dir (With you) by Julius Grosse, a very lively and pleasing baritone song, and the last song Was nennst du deine Liebe schwer und gross (Why call your love deep and wide…?) by Gustav Kühne that again reflects all the intimacy of bridal feeling and harmoniously rounds off the bouquet."
