Misc. Comments

This work is dedicated to my very dear late lamented friend Monika Lang posty mortem, but most of it was written before I heard about her tragic destiny.

All movements have titles in latin.

In the third movement I used parts of the Gregorian chant "Dies Irae".

In the fifth movement I used two german church songs - one by Martin Luther "Nun bitten wir den Heiligen Geist" and one other by the composer Hans Arfken who in 1958 made a song of the "Paternoster".

The quintet is on a symbolic level dealing with my personal thoughts about live, death and eternity. Later after the message about Moni´s destiny I understodd the reason why - and for whom.

I admit to everybody to freely perform, copy, record and distribute this chamber music work.

My only condition is the same as for the funeral march. Monika Lang´s name has to be mentioned.

Right now I can only offer copies of my handwriting, but I hope that I soon will be able to replace this facsimil by a professional score.
