Talk:Psaume 150 (Franck, César)

For Chorus and Wind Band

It's an arrangement for a special band and a special performance, of course:
2fl, 1 or 2 ob, 5 cl in B, 2 as in E, 2 ts in B, 2 hn in E, 1 pictpt in B, 2-3 tpt in B, 2 flg in B, 1 thn in B, 3 trb, 1 euph, 2 tub, tmp, cym and chorus.
One bugle player changes to the pictpt (bar 115 ff), so only 1 bugle is left from there.
I couldn't integrate the harp part, of course. When there were tremoli (strings), I wrote triplets. Other fast figurations by the strings I adapted slightly to the wood winds.
"Taktweise abwechseln" means 'alternate bar after bar' (because of the breath).
The alternate trb 1/2 part (bass clef) containes some more tones in the first part of the piece. --Ralph Theo Misch 23:00, 10 November 2010 (UTC)

P.S.: An English version of the chorus is available at CPDL. --Ralph Theo Misch 13:46, 11 November 2010 (UTC)
