This song was first published 1827 as a supplement in the "Wiener Zeitschrift für Kunst, Literatur, Theater und Mode" without opus-number. In 1828 H. A. Probst in Leipzig (the publisher of the Piano-Trio op. 100) put it into op. 101 with some other songs from periodicals.
