Misc. Comments

  • This is a modern-classical (i.e. neoclassical, not really modern) trombone concerto. The 1st movement is moderately fast, solemn and epic, and in sonata form. The 2nd movement is slow, solemn and moving, and in Lied form (ABA). The final movement (revised in 2015) is fast, joyous and heroic, and in rondo form. There is a cadenza in the final movement. The digital performance was made in Sibelius 6 with Kontakt Gold. Videos with the scrolling score and play along videos on my YouTube-channel.
