Greetings all,
I'm Vivian Fine's daughter, working to preserve my mother's unique musical heritage. I've created a web site for her, at vivianfine.org. There's a lot there--bio, writings, interviews, and the heart of the site, individual pages for each composition including audio files where available.
For several years now I have been looking for a place where musicians and others interested in my mother's music can find it when I and the web site are no longer around. IMSLP was the answer to my prayers. Essentially I am working on transferring as much of the web site as possible to IMSLP, with the enormous plus that on IMSLP the scores will be available for download. I have just finished having them scanned and am in the process of uploading them to IMSLP.
The manuscripts are housed at the Library of Congress and have just been catalogued (hurray!) so between IMSLP and the LoC I feel my mother's work is in the best possible hands. My heartfelt thanks to all the brilliant dedicated volunteers at IMSLP, especially to Carolus who has so generously given his time to guide me through the uploading procedures and much more, to Steltz and Davydov and others on the tagging team for their patience and kindness, and to KGill for his guidance in navigating the site. Special gratitude to Daphnis for his superb typesetting of the oboe pieces.
