Copyright Warning

Dear Jdbrown371,
You recently submitted files that do not seem to be in public domain. IMSLP only accepts works that are not copyrighted. Please visit Public Domain for more information about the public domain. Tips for determining the publication date of your score can be found on IMSLP:Contributing scores.
If your submission was in public domain, please add relevant information about the publication to the file page. Copyrighted files will be deleted.

Thank you!

I'm sorry to inform you that I will need to remove your two Burlesque submissions, because they are not in the public domain in Canada, the US, or EU. They were published in 1958, less than 50 years ago, and the editor Isidor Philipp died also in 1958, less than 50 years ago. Hence, it is in copyright both publication-wise and editor-wise. The files will enter the public domain in Canada on Jan 1, 2009. --Feldmahler 18:34, 29 January 2007 (EST)

P.S. Also, it is a good idea to never create empty composer categories unless you have a score by that composer which you want to submit. --Feldmahler 18:36, 29 January 2007 (EST)
