If the transcription you made of the overture was based on (basically a copy of) the vocal score published in 1911 or so, not the full score first published in 1975, then it's ok for this site- otherwise it's in copyright and can't be hosted here for about 15 years or so. I used the Dover Edition, i thought that, as it is a transcription there wouldn't have been any problems. I'm sorry. User:LeoneNero 20:17, 24 Febrary 2012 (

I'm not sure what the copyright status of Dover editions is- I've been confused about that before and often. I'd at least have a quick look at IMSLP:Copyright Made Simple though if you haven't. :) Eric 00:31, 25 February 2012 (UTC)

I checked out the Scott Joplin's score copyright that I used for my transcription. It goes back to 1911. I think that my transcription can be published without problems. Thank you! User:LeoneNero 15:41, 4 March 2012
