| Extra Information | This three-movement trio suite is a collection of three pieces written based on themes from Leopold Mozart and J. Scott Skinner with new instrumentation. The first movement is a Minuet based on a simple D major theme from Leopold Mozart, arranged in a classic tertiary form. The second movement is an andante in the dominant key A major, based on two Scottish ayres written by J. Scott Skinner, fused with new instrumentation and harmony. The third movement, Loure, is based on another theme by Leopold Mozart which alternates between D major and D minor, concluding the suite in a fast-paced dance written in compound time. |
