Misc. Comments

Sometimes suggested as a possible second movement for a Schubert sonata, with the third of the 3 Klavierstücke, D.459A as the first movement and the Rondo in E major, D.506 as the third movement and finale.

It has also been suggested as a possible alternative slow movement to the Piano Sonata in E major, D.459 (in this case being interpreted as a five-movement sonata, the first two movements from D.459 and the last three from D.459A).
