- 1. xylophone, chimes, triangle, sleigh bells, low rattle (affixed to a solid base)
- 2. glockenspiel, lion's roar, low rattle (affixed to a solid base), whip

- 4. celesta, bass drum (head extremely tightened), triangle, gong (tam-tam)
- 5. 2 bass drums (2nd from [3] to [4] with wirebrush),
- triangle, crash cymbal (attached to 1st bass drum)
- 6. castanets, sleigh bells, gong (tam-tam)
- 7. sirens (deep and very powerful,
- with a brake for instant stopping affixed to a solid base), sleigh bells
- 8. cymbals (both suspended and struck together)
