Extra Information Arranged from a organ piece (composed in 1859; Published as Communion in 1901). Although the manuscript of organ version (F-Pn, MS-914d. No.4) is written in F major, published versions are transposed to E-flat major.
Saint-Saëns also composed another Ave verum in E-flat major in 1849, for SATB chorus accompanied by wind ensemble or organ.
