This was a sub-library of Breitkopf & Härtels Klavier-Bibliothek edited by Anton Krause. Despite the title of the library, two of the pieces were for 3 pianos instead of 2 (see table below). The pieces in the series were ordered by difficulty, in the view of the editor. One of Krause's goals with the series was to provide sufficient guidance for performance of works for multiple pianos, through an appropriate amount of fingerings, pedal markings, etc.
