According to J. Joubert, Raoul Grigi was born in Brexeuil (Eure) and studied music at l'École Niedermeyer, with Lefèvre et Clément Loret. Appointed organist in Clamart in 1896, he was also very active as a composer. In 1912 was a founding member of the Union of Choirmasters and Organists (UMCO) (according to
Musimem (Tournemire biography, French). Appears in some later issues of French magazines. In 1921, "organiste à Saint- Jacques - du - Haut - Pas", Paris Ve.
