French organist and composer born in Saint-Ciergues, France. He studied music at the school of the Cathedral of Langres, simultaneously he was studying artistic and literary studies. He became director of music in the monastery of the premonstratences of Tarascó and later on as professor of music in Avinyó (Valclusa). He founded a school to learn musical art and he became master of the capella in the church "Notre-Dame-des-Champs", Paris. Michelot composed religious music, motets, melodies, songs, psalms, masses and Gregorian song. He died in Meudon, France.
