- Angelo Francis Pinto was born in Anzi, Potenza, Bassilicato, Italy on September 23, 1877. He immigrated to the US aboard the Chateau Lefite, arriving in NY on October 24, 1881 with his parents, Raffaele Pinto & Concetta Maretta. He married Agnes Keenan in 1907 and was widowed three years later. He never remarried. Angelo was a harpist who taught at NY College of Music and gave lessons at his own studio, “A.F. Pinto.” Angelo Pinto lived in the Bronx on Bathgate Ave his entire life. He died in NY in 1955.
Active as a composer, arranger, and teacher in New York by 1911.
