There is the only known mention of this composer in Musicalisches Magazin, No.4, Bernhard Christoph Breitkopf und Sohn, Leipzig,1765.

It is likely this is a misprint for Ernst Wilhelm Wolf or his brother Ernst Friedrich Wolf. Indeed the C. could be brief for a title, rather than a first name- did one of them have a noble or other title?
