German composer. He became court Kantor to Duke Johann Philipp of Saxony at Altenburg. His most important work is the Complementum und Dritter Theil Fest- und Aposteltägiger Evangelischer Sprüche, one of a large number of publications of occasional motets from the period around 1600 whose contents were used liturgically in the Lutheran Mass in place of readings.
