Misc. Notes Color scan. Every page of the cello part but the first has the original Farrenc?? plate, A.F. 121 (if this is a Farrenc plate - given that it was published in 1861, this seems an odd plate number.) For identification of publisher of first edition, see WorldCat. SBB no longer has item one listed in their catalog at all, though BNF does.

Navigation etc.

Though labeled first sonata (at least in the Leduc printing from the mid.-late 1870s), Farrenc is not known(?) to have written a second cello sonata. Legras' book "Louise Farrenc, compositrice du XIXe siècle: Musique au féminin" lists only one (p.121). She gives a publication date of 1861 (and composition date 1858 ca.) for the work (on p.136 of her book and p.121, respectively).
