Note: G. Schirmer issued two other complete editions of Chopin's piano music. One was edited by Rafael Joseffy, issued shortly after his death (1915), the other by Arthur Friedheim.

Contents

Schirmer issued at least 3 series of the Chopin piano works in Mikuli's edition. The first issue was in 12 volumes, starting in 1894 and finishing in 1898. The catalog numbers were part of "Schirmer's Library of Musical Classics" (LMC) Nos.27-38, with Mikuli isted as the sole editor. The series was reissued in 1915, this time in 15 volumes instead of the original 12, with prefaces and historical notes by Huneker and new LMC volume numbers. Another reissue appeared in 1934, also in 15 volumes, with new plate numbers.
