Publications of this work that are documented in Hofmeister's Monatsberichte show those issued in 1838 were by Whistling and those in 1839 and later by Wunder. Both the vocal score and arrangement of the overture uploaded here carry Wunder's imprint on the cover and its plate number but both are listed as having been issued by Whistling in 1838. The prices on the cover pages of both match the cost noted in Hofmeister's Monatsberichte. In Hofmeister's Handbuch of 1845 it notes that both Wunder and Whistling had been acquired by Hofmeister. Is it possible that Wunder acquired Whistling in 1838/39?
