The term "Baroque" is used in a very general way here; the pieces exceed the register of Baroque keyboard instruments and make departures from Baroque harmonic practice. The "spirit" of the Baroque is intact, the "studies" portion of the title are a compositional response to J.S. Bach's WTC-- not "studies" in the sense of idiomatic keyboard music. Gathered into a group of like-minded pieces in 2012.
