This a companion work to two slightly larger collections for piano solo and piano duet, each containing 65 overtures. The piano solo edition, arranged by Gustav Blasser (example), consisted of five volumes plus two volumes of Suppé, and the piano duet version, arr by Jan Brandts Buys, four volumes plus also two volumes of Suppé. The violin and piano series had one extra volume of Suppé (six overtures), by an unnamed arranger.
