Though the opening bars are in G minor, they seem to be a feint in the direction of the B-flat major main material; the 2nd group of the first movement is in G minor, the first movement ends in B-flat major, and the finale is wholly in that key. Not enough reason to call the trio a G minor trio (despite what the Ries-Gesellschaft says).
