Navigation etc.

  • Neither of the Dresden sources give a title for this work, however it is referred to as a Concerto in a third manuscript from Danzig. Here, the violin part is allocated to the oboe and is certainly playable on the oboe.
  • Grove Music does not list the work at all, and in the TWV43 list, gives what it considers the most important, and then says "15 other quartets, incl. 1 doubtful, 1 spurious". RISM does not list it either.
