*Written for the occasion of the unveiling of the Sir Alfred Gilbert's memorial (in London outside Marlborough House) to Queen Alexandra on 8 June 1932, when it was first performed by a choir with military band accompaniment. It was originally scored by Elgar for choir with orchestral accompaniment, but due to a change of plan it had to be re-scored for military band (by Capt. Andrew Harris of the Welsh Guards). Both band and orchestra parts have since been lost. The vocal score, as a handwritten manuscript, is in the Library of St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle.
- WorldCat has only one entry for this work, and it indicates orchestra as the accompaniment. Tagged for orchestra only.
