According to the Gouvy Institut, ms carries the date 1870 November 3 ("3/11 70"). His 2nd quintet; one in ms from 1869 in E minor precedes this. Published in 1876 - see link. There is also a quintet in D minor from 1879, and a B minor string quintet that seems to be of uncertain date!
