Talk:120 Handstücke für angehende Klavierspieler (Türk, Daniel Gottlob)

PD or not?

From the preface by Mrs. Auerbach:
* "Der Notentext wurde originalgetreu wiedergegeben" ('The musical text is reproduced faithful to the original source').
* "Einige dynamische Zeichen,...., wurden vom Herausgeber hinzugefügt,..." ('A few dynamical signs were added by the editor').
* "...missverständliche veraltete Zeichen sind durch die sinnentsprechenden heute gebräuchlichen ersetzt worden." ('ambiguous outdated signs were replaced by modern common ones.').

I removed those editorial dynamical additions (printed a little bit smaller). --Ralph Theo Misch 00:15, 18 November 2010 (UTC)

I would say PD under the Urtext rule. Nagels Musik Archiv is a well-known series of urtext editions. All but a few of those issued before 1964 are free in the USA, BTW, as they were terrible about renewing copyrights and published things without notice until the 1950s. Many titles have been reprinted by Kalmus in the USA. Carolus 00:52, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
