In 1849 Firth, Pond & Co. published a brief work "by Henri Herz" entitled "The Popular Melody Oh, Susanna arranged with an introduction and brilliant variations" "from Op.162" (in G major) (see LoC. Not at home so can't upload this to IMSLP myself nor download the Mexican Fantasy to see if it has a section that matches this, right now, but perhaps soon.
