I transferred these lists from Wikipedia, removed the Wikilinks, and linked all the works now on the IMSLP.
This is a rather large page, but I like having a central reference for Handel. I'm not sure if all the information on these tables is really essential to everyone, or if there is any benefit to it's being sortable... I'll leave it to discussion with other editors :)

Hi. I'm the editor who filled-out most of the list at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_compositions_by_George_Frideric_Handel. It's not that I don't appreciate the work done at IMSLP (far from it—and I'm continually using the scores), but I do have to question the duplication with the WP page of the large amount of information found on this page. I can see how it is beneficial to have a listing of (at least some) works on this page, however the reasons for all the note information is less clear. The note information (e.g. Notes, Text, Libretto, Premiere, Premiere Venue, Published, Voice) will slowly drift away from the WP article (and already has). It is unlikely that any of the note information will be used to locate scores (with work names, opus/HWV numbers, and keys being the dominant locators). The list on this page is also not suited to linking to the IMSLP anthology scores. I have no appetite or time to change this page, but I would be very interested to discuss how I could help to incorporate the IMSLP links into the WP article(s). I can't help wonder whether, if the list on this page were to be reduced to a simpler (targeted to the scores available) list, then the talents and energy of the editors here could be better employed in maintaining the relevant (and growing) WP articles. Keep up the good work on IMSLP. Cheers. GFHandel 22:53, 5 November 2010 (UTC)
