According to Cáceres' worklist PDF, there is a quartet 1 in manuscript from 1848, quartet 2 is not mentioned by Cáceres? (maybe in his full-length book on Bargiel?), quartet 3 (opus 15b) is by 1851 April and published 1877, and quartet 4 (opus 47) was published 1888... Eric 17:38, 23 October 2011 (UTC) (quartet 2 could conceivably be the string quartet arrangement by the composer of the octet opus 15a.)
